Rayne's Remix

January Reading Wrap Up

My goal for 2026 is to read 60 books. Scary, I know. It feels very ambitious considering I just BARELY read 50 last year, but so far so good. In the month of January, I read 7 books and a novella (yes, it counts towards my reading goal, I don’t care).

I started off the year strong with a book by one of my favorite authors!!

Happily Never After by Lynn Painter

New Era of Rayne's Remix!

I’m back!! (Sorta) I decided to try writing blog posts through Substack. To me, this feels more low-pressure and seems like it will be easier to manage. If you don’t know me personally, let me introduce myself, and if you do, allow me to reintroduce myself. Hi. My name is Rayne (rain). I am 20 years old, a Virgo, and I love all things creative. I wanted to start a blog as a way to write about other things I am interested in, and I originally started one on WordPress last school year, but I gave...

5 reading goals for 2025!

Hi all, I am finally back on a somewhat normal schedule and able to write again! I have missed writing for the blog so much while I was away but I have some fun ideas for this new year!

Speaking of the new year, a new year means a new reading goal. I have compiled a list of 5 reading goals I want to complete in 2025!

Goal One:

My first goal for this year is to read 50 books. This may not seem like a lot to book girlies but for the past 2 years, my reading goal has been 50 books, and I h...

My 2024 Reading Wrapped!

Happy New Year! Hope you guys enjoyed your New Years Eve!

I figured the best way to start my new year was to catch you guys up on the books I read in 2024! This year my reading goal was 50 books, and I ended up reading 42 out of 50.

The shortest book I read this year was a novella I found recently titled “First Date Challenge” by Wendy Million. I found this one on the “Stuff Your Kindle Day” after Christmas, and I enjoyed it a lot.

The longest book I read was “Harry Potter and the Half...

Formula One: Abu Dhabi Weekend Recap

“It’s light’s out and away we go”

Practice

This last Sunday was the last Formula One race of the season in Abu Dhabi. A lot happened leading up to the race.

One of the major changes was a team lineup switch; Alpine announced that their Reserve Driver and 2025 team member Jack Doohan would replace Esteban Ocon in the season’s final race.

Also going into the weekend tensions were high with McLaren’s Lando Norris and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc were going head-to-head for second place i...

History of the Formula One Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix.

After a three-week break, Formula One racing is back and headed to Las Vegas for Round 22 and the last U.S. GP.

To understand the origins of this race we need to go back to the 80’s.

The race was initially called the Caesars Palace Grand Prix and was only a part of the Formula One Championship in 1981 and 1982, with Alan Jones winning in ’81 and Michele Alberto winning in ’82.

The track was laid out in the Caesars Palace parking lot and was only a temporary circuit. In the end, the ra...

Making a comeback after about two years out of the spotlight, Shawn Mendes released his fifth studio album, “Shawn,” on November 15.

After putting out his last album, “Wonder,” during the pandemic, Mendes planned a tour for 2022 but ultimately canceled it after seven shows to work through his mental health issues.

Along with the album, Mendes put out a concert film so that fans who couldn’t make it to the shows could also experience the shows....
